iZon High Definition Lenses

“High Definition” vision correction is now available at Eyewear Expressions with an amazing new spectacle lens technology. The process involves using an instrument called a Z-View wavefront Aberrometer (available with an eye exam next door at Hill Country Eye Center) to measure imperfections of the human visual system that could not be measured in the past with traditional instruments. The information from the aberrometer is used to create customized wavefront-guided spectacle lenses that correct the unique imperfections of the visual system resulting in better quality of vision in the daytime and at night. These high-resolution lenses optimize vision producing “High Definition” clarity and are typically preferred 3 to 1 over conventional lenses.

iZon high-resolution lenses are available in both single vision and progressive designs for patients who have lost near focusing ability. They are made with a premium material that is lighter and thinner than conventional plastic lenses and can fit virtually any spectacle frame. All iZon lenses are made with an anti-reflection coating, scratch-resistant coating, and block UV light.

iZon high-resolution lenses have been shown to provide superior optical clarity and crispness, improve depth perception, and improve nighttime vision. In FDA validated simulated nighttime driving tests, high-resolution lenses significantly improved nighttime driving performance over conventional lenses. In fact, a driver wearing iZon high resolution lenses can see a pedestrian or situation about 25 feet sooner at 55 mph, which is comparable to more than 2 car lengths or the distance across a typical intersection.
